Our commitment to our community during COVID-19

I am reaching out today to provide an update on how Joseph Brant Hospital and the Foundation are responding to the current novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to the health and safety of our staff, donors and partners and are closely following the advice of public health authorities.

Joseph Brant Hospital enacted an Emergency Operations Centre which meets daily to review our response and make adjustments as required in our rapidly changing environment. In addition, Joseph Brant Hospital has opened a COVID-19 Assessment & Testing Clinic. Clinic services are offered only through referral from Public Health.

The Hospital leadership is working closely with regional and provincial health partners to monitor the situation, assess ongoing risk and keep our community informed.

In an effort to keep our physicians, staff and patients safe, all staff and visitors coming to our hospital are now being actively screened for symptoms at dedicated entrances. Patients and visitors are asked to enter through the Main Entrance on Lakeshore Road.

An Update from the Foundation
As the current situation continues to evolve, I want to assure you that our commitment to you, our donors, remains unchanged. Your support of our hospital and our healthcare workers has been unwavering and we want to share our gratitude and appreciation.

Joseph Brant Hospital is a place where life’s most important moments happen. And it is these moments that join us together to make a difference for our community.

In response to the public health advisories, the Foundation has limited staff on-site as we practice social distancing. A majority of staff will be working remotely as of March 18, and remain available by email and / or phone.  For any inquiries please email or call our Foundation Leadership Team and we will respond within 24 hours.

In addition, all Foundation appointments, meetings and events at the hospital have been postponed until at least June 1st as we work to reduce the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as there may be some delays in correspondence including tax receipting. Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at any time and we will respond within 24 hours.

This is an unprecedented time and our hospital needs you more than ever. Thank you for your ongoing support of Joseph Brant Hospital.

We will continue to share updates on the Joseph Brant Hospital and Foundation response to this rapidly evolving situation.
