Jim was formerly counsel to the law firm of Ross & McBride LLP, where he focused on the areas of estate planning, estate administration and mediation. Jim attained his LLB from University of Western Ontario and his LLM at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. He is certified as a Specialist in Estates and Trusts Law by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Jim is an active volunteer in the Burlington community and has
served as a board member to numerous organizations such as the
Burlington Community Foundation, Conservation Halton, Burlington Public Library, etc. Today he Chair’s the Board of Directors for Conservation Halton Foundation, and the JBH Foundation Gift Planning Advisory Council.
Jim and his wife Margret have two daughters and two granddaughters. In his free time Jim enjoys curling, slow pitch baseball and travel.
